After spending wonderful couple of years in Singapore , I joined as CRM consultant with a consulting firm in Sydney . I left this blog in draft for almost 5 years! I am trying to recollect those early moments of my first and close encounters with Australian lifestyle and people here.
I remember seeing those tall buildings in CBD after I took a short walk from my fancy hotel where I had been booked by the company (so nice of them. It was a scary and as well as an accomplished feeling - Landing a job inAustralia was something that I felt was one of my accomplishments. In fact, I never knew that I would be able to get a job here. I think it is mostly by grace of Almighty and good communication/interviewing skills along with my technical/functional knowledge about CRM. Ah! Going back to my experience of my first evening in Sydney was impressive. I had a quick look and found a 7-eleven shop. Used my newly exchanged Australian dollars to buy some necessary items. It was not so crowded during the nights in CBD. I also made a note of where my office is (had a little printout of my office addresss i think). It was one of the taller buildings, Phew! Back to my fancy hotel room and then I made sure my new suit is all good for tomorrow’s big day. I couldn’t get sleep due to excitement, was thinking about lot of things that I may need to do or to be done and plenty of it is unknow.
I also made a call to reception for a wake-up call in the morning.
